The effects that a DUI, ticket, and accident are going to have on car insurance rates are going to rise. Everyone who has been driving knows this. However, in what way is it going to affect it? There are many different stances car insurance companies are going to take on each different charge. Each is a crime and some are more serious than the other, but you will be surprised even on some of them. The different effects that different situations cause on your car insurance rates are:

  1. DUI’s- You are going to have to pay a fine, get your license suspended and possibly going to have to serve some jail time already. On top of this, you car insurance rates are going to sore high. You have to just accept this. However, you are going to be able to see a silver lining in the end. You can try to avoid this happening by following everything put up by the judge so that it can be removed from your record.
  2. Tickets- Your speeding ticket is going to have you spending some time in driving school and you are going to have your premium rates raise because of the fact that people who speed in the car insurance companies opinion, are going to speed again. Every state has their own limits to how long a ticket is going to be on a driving record.
  3. Accidents- Whether you are at fault or not, you rates are going to go up. However, if it is your first accident, you are not going to have your rate skyrocket too high. Everyone is going have accidents happen to them. However, there are ways that a car insurance company is going to help you out so that you are not going to pay a lot of money for it. You insurance company, depending on your coverage, is going to pay a large portion, if not all of the costs when you have the accident.

In many cases your car insurance company is going to work with you. They don’t want to lose you as a customer and you are going to need their help if you want to drive. The coverage is important to have. You can avoid tickets and jail time when you have insurance. The different affects that are going to happen to your rates when you have a DUI, ticket, or an accident are going to rise. Depending on your offense, they are going to rise a little to a lot.
